An overweight American is the loyal customer of well-known mini fast-food hamburger chain – White Castle, but recently he accused White Castle of violation of civil rights and seek compensation.

65-year-old Martin Kessman last week handed over petition in federal court, accused Nanuet, New York White Castle branches of too small seats, making him embarrassed in White Castle in 2009. Kessman is 6-foot, weight 290 pounds, Kessman said he barely squeezed into the seat, the knee also hit the iron posts under the the desktop, very painful. He immediately complained White Castle Ohio headquarters afterwards, the head office promised to provide more spacious seats in reply, after two years but no improvement.

Kessman complained that the store’s seat can not accommodate the customers like him, has been violated “Americans  Disabilities Act” (ADA), he claims compensation. He said he just want to sit down and eat properly like most people.

White Castle Corporation spokesman said, Nanuet stores will change more spacious seating.
